The megalithic sites near our hotel restaurant in Carnac
Morbihan is home to more than 550 megalithic sites, making the department one of the highest places of megalithism in the world. Among the most famous sites, we find of course the alignments of Carnac. These shelter more than 3000 menhirs spread over 4 kilometers. It will only take you 5 minutes by car to reach this site classified as a Historic Monument since 1889 from our hotel restaurant Carnac Le Celtique. Try to unravel the mysteries of the menhirs during a free or guided visit.
The Quiberon Peninsula
From the main beach of Carnac, a few steps from our hotel restaurant, you can admire a breathtaking view of the Quiberon peninsula. Do not miss spending a day there, to discover the Côte Sauvage and its steep cliffs to the west on foot or by bike, or to enjoy the large sandy beaches sheltered from the wind on the east coast. Vannes, 30 minutes from the hotel restaurant Carnac Le Celtique
"City of Art and History", Vannes is a must for culture lovers. Stroll through the medieval streets of the historic center, between half-timbered houses, to Saint-Pierre Cathedral. Visit the Museum of Fine Arts and taste the local products of the Place des Lices market. In summer, don't miss the Arvor festivals, for total immersion in Breton culture. The celebrations end with a fireworks display.
The Ria of Etel
For a bucolic walk, head towards the Ria d'Etel, about fifteen kilometers from our hotel restaurant in Carnac. By car, on foot or by boat, stroll along the river dotted with islands. Let yourself be charmed by its small ports, its fishermen's houses and its hidden beaches. The place is ideal for trying fishing on foot or practicing kayaking, stand-up paddle or even scuba diving.
